2. St Isaac the Syrian The Power to bear mysteries, which the humble man has received, which makes his perfect in every virtue without toil, this is the very power which the blessed apostles received in the form of Fire

3. Good News And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Matt 10:1

4. Warning 10But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, 11 ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’ 12 But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city. Luke 10:10-12

5. Highway of Holiness A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray. Isa 35:7

6. Good news So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. Exd 15:22

7. Greater News Then they came to Elim, where there weretwelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters. Exd 15:27

8. Good news and Warning When they go into the tabernacle of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister, to burn an offering made by fire to the Lord, they shall wash with water, lest they die. Exd 30:20

9. Good News “Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool. Isa 1:18

10. Warning If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel,
You shall be devoured by the sword”;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Isa 1:19,20

11. Good News Then the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert. Isa 35:6

12. Warning A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.

13. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring; Isa 44:3

14. warning You have bought Me no sweet cane with money,
Nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices;
But you have burdened Me with your sins,
You have wearied Me with your iniquities. Isa 43:24

15. Good News  “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will save My people from the land of the east. And from the land of the west; I will bring them back,And they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. They shall be My people And I will be their God,
In truth and righteousness.’ Zech 7:7,8

16. Good News And in that day it shall be
Thatliving waters shall flow from Jerusalem,
Half of them toward the eastern sea
And half of them toward the western sea;
In both summer and winter it shall occur.Zech 14:8

17. (St. Augustine) • Open up their eyes, O Lord, to behold You, and be amazed by the beauty of Your truth, to hasten to run and worship You.
