  1. Pennies In Pain, Or Getting cleaned

  2. Big Question • My Big question is can an energy drink melt, or clean a penny over the period of two days a penny.

  3. My Hypothesis • My guess would be that the energy drinks will clean the penny not melt the penny. I think that because the energy drinks aren't made of lava and fire.

  4. My Facts • Red bull has the most sugar • Monster has three claw marks on its can • Bing is the healthiest • Rockstar has the most caffeine • Pennies can be really old • Energy drinks like Rockstar can explode you’re heart

  5. Experiment(procedures) • 1st – gather materials • 2nd – get all the pennies and energy drinks in a pile • 3rd –put an energy drink in a tube and put the penny inside of the container • 4th – repeat the process until all of the energy drinks are in a container • 5th –Record the results of the pennies • 6th – when finished check and see if the pennies are clean or melted and record the results. • Then take pictures of the pennies at the end.

  9. My Results • The results are that everything cleaned the pennies except for the Bing and red bull. The Rockstar cleaned it to the point that it looked new.
