What is ASTP? • A challengingeducationalprogramme • On top ofyourregular HLO studies • Onlyforverymotivated and talentedstudents : max.30 persons /year • For chemistrystudentsat one of the 14 HLOs in the Netherlands • Who complete theirpropaedeuticswithanaverage of 7.5 or higher • Three-yearprogramme: approx. 400-550 hoursper year • Summer courses • Saturdaycourses • Employeeships

Whoorganise ASTP? • ASTP is organisedbijCEAS : Center of Expertise Analytical Sciences • CEAS is an initiative of HAN, University of Applied Sciences and COAST • The industries, united in COAST, in need of analytical chemists have decided to invest in young professionals by providing input for the courses and offering employeeships that allow the student to develop their understanding of analytical science and its applications. • The educational supervision of the programme is provided by HAN, Institute of Applied Sciences.

What does ASTP bring? • More in-depth knowledge about analytical chemistryand the latest innovations in chemistry • Experience at prestigious companies • Lectures that will be given by leading teachers from colleges, universities and companies from all over the Netherlands • Apaidemployeeshipat leading COAST companies such as DSM, Philips, Rikilt or Shell • Agreat deal of extra company experience and knowledge of the latest technologies; making you better prepared for the employment market • Outstanding career prospects

  6. What does ASTP cost? • The costs for the ASTP programme are taken by CEAS and the companies providing employeeships • The programme costs a student approximately 400 - 550 hours per year. These hours are on top of your regular studies. • ASTP costs your time and effort • Students don’t pay ASTP, ASTP pays its students • From day 1 you receive the so called COAST grant (starting from €250 per month)
