  1. Welcome to 10MAE 2014 With Mr Mitchell [MLV]

  2. What to expect… A review of prior knowledge to ensure you are all on the same page Extension into exciting branches of mathematics not normally taught at this level Not much acceleration into year 11 work, but building an outstanding base of knowledge

  3. Is there any year 11 content? As with all year 10 classes there are two internal assessments worth credits for next year. Depending on the class, time and development of ideas, there may be a couple more. The aim is to develop you all into outstanding students of mathematics

  4. Where to find information… There are lots of places and we will be using them all. Moodle will have the outline of the course and a rough timeline of topics. A work in progress will be a website that has copies of powerpoints I use and links to interesting websites and also copies of homework assignments. More details on this in a few days…

  5. Where to get help in maths… First place is those around you in the classroom, I encourage talking about mathematics in class. I am always available in class and, if arranged, lunchtimes. There is the maths common room starting this year in Seagar Block and it will operate lunchtimes and afterschools with teachers and senior students available to help you
