  1. BV Art Gallery • Group 4 • Period 5

  2. “Beaded Wedding Baskets with Lids” Unknown artist Glass Color • Produced when light strikes an object and reflects back in your eyes. This represents color because they are very colorful. Each one has different colors. This belongs in the gallery because it’s a part of history and they are pretty cool. They are made out of beads, that’s pretty ‘artsy’.

  3. Line • The most basic element of art, a continuous mark made on a surface. Triptych Window Frank Lloyd Wright Glass This window reflects line, because its full of them. Its simple, yet amazing. This should be in the gallery because its super cool and fits in with one of the seven elements of art.

  4. Shape/Form • Shape: 2-D and encloses space. • Form: 3-D and encloses space Turban Peru Textile This fits in form because it is three dimensional. It takes up space, therefore it fits in this category. This fits in the gallery because its part of the elements and it’s a part of Peruvian history.

  5. Texture “CoveredBeaker with Monogram of Friedrich III” Gottfried Spiller Glass • Refers to surface quality or the feel of an object. The beaker represents texture because its full of it. Things are engraved into it, such as a monogram of Friedrich III. We feel that this should be included into the gallery because its pretty awesome. Its engraved and glass, which seems appropriate especially for this class.

  6. Pattern • Related or repeated shapes or objects. Aspiration Aaron Douglass Painting “Aspiration” follows pattern, because it has a color scheme that follows a pattern. The forms of purple/blue is a pattern. It is an awesome piece of art. It is inspiring and follows the elements of art.

  7. Space Suit of Armor Unknown author No applicable category • Empty place or surface in or around a work of art • Positive: Space created by an image. • Negative: Space around and in between an image. This follows shape because there is space around it and in it. It is both positive and negative space. This should be in the gallery because, yet again, it is amazing artsy history.

  8. Value • The lightness and darkness of a color. “Coin Showing Zeus” Greek Coin This coin represents value because it has the different values of black. This should be in the gallery because it’s a beautiful piece of art. Its historic, meaning its cool.

  9. The End We hope you enjoyed the exciting, enthralling, and entrancing slide show.
