  1. Christi Himmelfahrt Himmelfahrt" heißt, dass Jesus den Jüngern nicht mehr begegnet, weil er zu Gott, seinem Vater, zurückgekehrt und zum Herrscher und endgültigen Richter der Welt eingesetzt ist. Wie Lukas kennt auch das Matthäusevangelium einen Abschluss der Begegnungen Jesu mit den Jüngern (28, 16- 20).

  2. Das symbol von Christi Himmelfahrt Die Wolke, die Jesus den Blicken der Jünger entzieht, ist schon im Alten Testament ein Symbol der machtvollen Erscheinung und Gegenwart Gottes. Gemeint ist also, daß Jesus in die raum- und zeitübersteigende Welt Gottes, in die Herrlichkeit Gottes eingegangen ist.

  3. Wie wird gefeiert In der Bibel wird berichtet, dass Jesus Christus am 40. Tag nach seiner Auferstehung in den Himmel aufgestiegen sei. Besonders im katholischen Glauben ist dieser Tag besonders wichtig. Traditionell finden dann Prozessionen statt, also kirchliche Umzüge, die durch die Gemeinde führen.13.05.2021
