  1. Woman Take Charge of Your Money – Chapter 6 - Eight Reality Checks For your checkbook Carolyn Castleberry

  2. Commit It All To The Lord • Truly committing our financial future to God is one of the hardest things to do • Matt 7:11 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” • How can you commit your work to the Lord today? What are His plans for your life? • Matt 6:19-20 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth … but in heaven …”

  3. Be Generous, Someone Is Watching • Jesus said it: “Give, and it will be given to you . . . “ Luke 6:38 • When you give to anyone, it’s as if you’re giving to Jesus Himself. • Write down three events in your life that have brought you the greatest joy. Post it on your fridge!

  4. You Can’t Do It All • Prov 31 woman • Where in your life should you be asking for help? Who should you ask? • How about running just 1 race at a time. • Where can I cut the fat? What can I delegate? • Matt 6:25-34

  5. The Power of No • When we say no to people and things that hurt us or stretch us too thinly, we’re protecting God’s investment in us. • If it’s something I’m unsure about … I make it a practice to wait at least twenty-four hours before deciding. • Wait for God’s still, calm voice to speak and your quieted, untroubled mind to hear it.

  6. The Power Of Yes • Your goals are the things you’ve chosen to say yes to. What are these for you? • State how to get there when setting a goal. • Pray, find help and accountability. • Write 1 goal you haven’t been able to achieve. List 3 possible, flexible, realistic step-by-step plans to reach that goal. • Begin

  7. Love What Money Can Do, Not Money Itself • 1 Tim 6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil”. • Money itself must not be your goal. • How can the gift of money change your family or community for the better? • What would you like to accomplish financially to change someone’s life? • Prov 10:22 “The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.”

  8. Don’t Get Distracted • Look for distractions. • Pray • How can you and God overcome them together? • Prov 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

  9. Smile At Your Future • Our attitude towards life will absolutely determine our outcome. • Limited only by your beliefs! • God wants you to prosper and to be blessed in every area of our lives so we can be a blessing to others. • Begin compiling papers and accounts that relate to your estate planning. • Draft a will.
