  1. The partnership triangle: church, agency, missionary Who’s job is it anyway?

  2. Three groups for discussion You will be in a group representing the sending church, the mission agency, or the missionary. With your group, discuss these questions: • What are 3-5 primary roles of our group? • What are 3-5 primary responsibilities? • Who are we accountable to? Why? List your answers clearly on your white papers with a marker.

  3. Rotate and read As a group, rotate to the next group’s papers and read what they wrote. If your group feels they missed something, add it with your color of marker. Rotate a second time to the next papers.

  4. Return to your paper Look at what has been added. Do you agree? Is there anything else you think you need to add.

  5. Questions • A missionary’s child contracts cancer. Who decides what to do next? • A sending church splits and drops the missionary’s support. Who does what? • A hostile political situation develops in the missionary’s country. Who does what? • A missionary is involved in sinful behavior. Who handles the situation? How?
