  2. The Eiffel Tower was created in 1887-1889 by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. They finished it on March 28, 1889. It took 2 years and 2 months and 5 days to complete.

  3. It is made of 9441 tons of steel. It is 984 ft. tall and has 18,038 individual pieces . Only ONE worker was killed in making the Eiffel Tower. It was saved from being demolished by being turned into a radio transmitter. FUN FACTS It has been painted six different colors in it’s history, all being different shades of brown. It takes 50 tons of paint to paint it. It took 50 engineers, 5300 blueprints and 121 workers to build it. (but one died)

  4. It takes 7.8 million kWh per year. It takes 25 painters and 15-18 months to paint the Eiffel Tower. There are 20,000 lights that make the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night.
