  2. Vitamin • Makes body works properly • Thirteen types • Contribute for: -human growth - metabolism - develop - immune system • Type: - Fat soluble ( A, D, E, K ) - Water soluble ( B, C )

Vit A: -refers fat, improve eyesight, fight off virus, physiological activities -found in: carrots, kale, spinach, melons, beef, sweet potatoes , peppers • Vit C: -protect cells, Improve iron absorption, regenerate -found in: papaya, pineapple, oranges, kale, strawberries, broccoli • VitD: - regulation bone health, muscle health, immune response, insulin, blood sugar, calcium, phosphorus metabolism - found in: salmon, sardines, milk, mushrooms, egg

Vit E: -Protect skin, prevent cell, protect cancer -found in: Sunflower Seeds, almonds, papaya, spinach, bell pepper • Vit B: -growth, develop, body health - potatoes, bananas, beans, seeds, nuts, red meat, poultry, fish, eggs, spinach, fortified cereals. • Vit K: -blood clot normally, protect bones, protect liver -found in: Collard Greens, spinach, Brussels sprouts, kale

Water (H2O ) • A colorless and odorless liquid made up of molecules • Containing hydrogen and oxygen • About 60 to 70 percent of water in human body • Human brain is about 85% water • Bones are between 10 to 15% water • Keeps its temperature normal. • Cushion and lubricate joints. • Protects spinal cord and other sensitive tissues. • Gets rid of wastes • Can get some water through the foods you eat • Broth soups and other foods that are 85% to 95% water such as celery, tomatoes, oranges, and melons.

  9. Fat • What it does - Source of energy - Into the solid state at room temperature. • Physiological functions -Provide Fatty acid -Maintain body temperature • Food sources -The extrarectal containing fat mass were lower -Higher protein content
