  2. Serials Solutions MARC records Customisable: e.g. can add WAM proxy to URL, public notes One record per title, with multiple 856s Download once a month: new, changed, deleted records Overlay records matching on 001 field Full records and brief records Check transaction file before loading!

  3. Serials Solutions E-journal portal (A-Z list) Simple search interface by title or subject category http://w2.vu.edu.au/library/EJournalSearch/ Updated nightly Regularly add titles not in SS profile by exporting from Millennium and uploading as Excel spreadsheet

  4. Serials Solutions Profile maintenance Titles are selected and deselected on Serials Solutions Client Centre web interface Can select individual titles in a database or all Can individually customise holdings and notes e.g. access restrictions Cut-off date for changes is a few days prior to MARC records availability

  5. Serials Solutions Coverage data spreadsheet CSV file of all holdings, with titles, providers (databases), ISSNs, dates, URLs and SS record numbers for matching Received at same time as MARC records so data is consistent Sort and split into smaller files prior to ERM load (around 30,000 lines each)

  6. ERM Coverage load/catalogue update Done after MARC records loaded Load coverage and load catalogue at the same time (around 2 hours for 65,000 entries) Coverage load updates the coverage database for WebBridge linking Catalogue update adds/amends checkins, which contain soft links to resource records Load against review file of Serials Solutions records Match on Alt Lookup (SS record number) Load for all providers (can only select one or all)

  7. ERM View results Reports on coverage and catalogue updates, titles not found and resources not updated Save reports as spreadsheets Clean up problems Whole process: MARC load, ERM load, and cleanup takes one cataloguer around 2 days a month
