  9. Leak Sealing - Flanges On Site On Stream On Time

  10. Benefits Avoid System Shutdown On Site repairs No reduction in Line Pressure Significant Savings in Water Loss Utilising WRAS approved Sealing Compounds Leak Sealing -

  11. Pipeline Intervention • Hot Tapping • Line Plugging • Pipe Freezing • Valve Changing • Grouted Tee Hot Tapping Operation Pipe Freezing Operation

  12. Pipeline Intervention Hot Tapping Hot Tapping (Under Pressure Drilling) is the method of making a connection to existing pressurised piping whilst the system remains on line. Also used as an access point for temporary isolation. Available from 1” to 70” at Pipeline Pressures of 1440 psi at 38oC and 700 psi at 370oC

  13. 2 Position Line Plug With by-pass Pipeline Intervention Line Plugging Line Plugging is a means of stopping flow and providing a shut-off where no means of providing isolation is already in existence. Can be used in conjunction with a by-pass to maintain flow. Available from 1” to 48”

  14. Pipeline Intervention Pipe Freezing Pipe Freezing involves the use of liquid nitrogen in the controlled formation of a solid ice plug inside the pipeline. Used for temporary isolation. Available from 1” to 48”

  15. Pipeline Intervention On-Line Pipeline connections using Grouted Tees Benefits • No disruption to production or downtime incurrred • No Welding – ideal for hazardous environments • No damage to pipelines during installation • Can accommodate ovality of existing pipeline • Quick and simple surface preparation • Fully validated connection • 40 year design life • A Furmanite Service A furmanite Service under license fromAdvantica

  16. Pipeline Intervention Benefits • Keeps plant on-line • Allows on-site repairs and modifications to include valve & meter insertion • System isolations where either no isolation valves exist or are defective • Safe, cost effective and efficient temporary isolation Typical two position line plug with bypass

  17. Composite Repair • Benefits • Permanent Repairs • Repair Rehabilitation Across a Range of Diameters • Nozzle Repair • Tank Repairs • Structural Repairs Stronger than the Existing Material

  18. Composite Repair • Benefits • High Strength • Lightweight • Non Corroding • No Pre-fab required • Carried out on-line • No disruption • Installed using cold • work techniques Applied on site No Workshop Preparation

  19. Pressurized Systems Integrity Management Guarantees a Leak Free Start Up Benefits • Eliminates lost production and unnecessary shutdown • Maintains a leak-free environment, even on start-up • Reduces equipment and testing costs • Reduces the need for re-work • Removes potential health & safety issues • Protects the environment from emissions, and you against severe legislative penalties

  20. On-Site Machining • Applications • Flange Facing • Milling • Pipe Cutting • Journal Turning • Drilling • Reaming • Line Boring • Grinding • Polishing • Stud Drilling Workshop Tolerances Delivered On-Site From 50mm diameter to more than 30m diameter using our full range of equipment
