  1. Concept Map Elizabeth, This is my 4th concept map I’m attempting. I found hard to put all my learning in one page size. I concentrated on the ISD model (cyclical approach) and how I see it in my work Environment. The last pages I go more in details for each phases. I didn’t show the links between each of phases on the last 3 pages but the model (page 3) shows the links of the models. From B.Lepine See following pages

  2. Open System Theory Chaos Inputs Operation Outputs Chaos Feedback Environment The environment at work… An open system where the work of one affect the others (interrelated) but also cyclical, and in a constant state of movement and changes (Chaos theory).

  3. Analysis Design/Develop/Implement Evaluate Revise ISD Model: System Thinking (Cyclical Approach)

  4. ISD Model: System Thinking (Cyclical Approach) Analysis Needs Assessment Micro assessment Macro assessment Identify the leaner Define the performance problem Series of recommendation Risks and advantages Age, ESL, special needs? Learning Environment Assessment Development environment Delivery environment Application environment Conduct Instructional Analysis Identify Goals and objectives Identify Skills to Learn Identify Entry Behaviors Resources Analysis Do we have the human resources to do this project? Do we have the instructional resources material to do this project? Do we have enough monetary resources to do this project? Work Analysis Constraint Analysis Job Analysis Task Analysis Content Analysis Risk assessment of context and conditions Time, money, people, resources To eliminate the risks We need to be ethical in the process Skills to learn Which domain? Cognitive Affective Psychomotor

  5. ISD Model: System Thinking (Cyclical Approach) Generate and Develop Instructional Material Design Develop and Select Instructional Materials Develop Develop Media, etc. Apply Information Gained in the Analysis Develop prototype, pilot project Plan Structure and Format; Analysis informs Design Provide Motivation Write Performance Objectives Provide Practice Create Assessment of the Goals and Objectives Provide Feedback Plan Strategies to Develop the Instruction Selecting a Delivery System Select Media Implement Sequencing the Instruction Provide Example and Practice Provide Discovery-type Instruction Registration of Students Pilot, Test fields Delivery of Instructional Material Test Instructional Material Provide practice for students Provide various types of interaction through the course

  6. ISD Model: System Thinking (Cyclical Approach) Evaluate Summative Evaluation …of students …of the course Final evaluation of the student learning For Assessing Overall Effectiveness of Instruction Formative Evaluation …of students …of the course Revise Course and Material Occur During and Between Phase Purpose is to Improve the Instruction before final implementation Give Feedback to Student so they know how they are doing
