  1. The Belt Purse An Amazing Invention

  2. PROBLEM • People outgrow belts and they get all battered up

  3. SOLUTION • Create something useable for a long time from this ‘pieces of trash’.

  4. COMING TO THE SOLUTION • We originally wanted to produce ‘Beltlets’ (braclets made out of belts), but they had already invented those • Holly was still on the track of acressories, so she suggested a purse (for obvious reasons)

  5. PEOPLE WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS • This invention will help people who have too many belts. It takes approximately 10 belts to make 1 unit. They go fast.

  6. ADVANTAGES OF THE BELT PURSE • The strength of the leather • Leather is biodegradable • The fact that it is 99% recyled • Pretty big for a purse • It’s pretty hard to break

  8. 1. BRING MATERIALS • We forgot our materials one day. • The materials are crucial to success • But luckily, parents saved the day

  9. 2. LEARN HOW TO SEW • We approached a diffficulty when Holly didn’t know how to sew • In due time, Holly could sew correctly and tie a knot in thread

  10. 3. FINISH THE BASE • On the inside of the purse, we have a lining, or base • This was so nothing fell out where belts weren’t filling gaps

  11. 4. AFFIX BELTS • This was a challenge because • Leather is so thick • Someone was still a bit unclear on the concept of sewing
