  1. Staff Updates Regional Technical Forum March 20, 2013

Final Approved LED Savings • Last RTF meeting requested several changes to workbook • Associate HOU from KEMA study with each lumen bin based on mix of lamp types within each room • Break out average cost by each lumen bin • Better documentation of 12 yr EUL assumption • Several other small fixes to workbook made • Updated with newest EnergyStar QPL • EISA standards changed to look at lumen range instead of wattages only • Revised baseline EUL to track HOU by lumen bin • Cleaned up tables and removed unneeded analysis

Subcommittee Meetings • Guidelines Subcommittee • Met on Feb. 28th • Discussed edits to Cost guidelines • In final review of full Guidelines Volume • Presentation at April meeting for approval • Small/Rural Subcommittee • Met on March 1st • Discussed recently approved RTF measures • No changes necessary • Talked about 2013 Work Plan items and follow-up on Schools

Subcommittee Meetings • IT Sector Subcommittee • Met on March 5th • Discussed draft survey of DC measure interest • Meeting every 1st Tuesday of the month • Past meeting materials posted to: rtf.nwcouncil.org/subcommittees/it/meetings.htm • Ag Irrigation Hardware Subcommittee • Subcommittee meeting scheduled soon. • Will review new data from Idaho Power field study and Rocky Mountain Power impact evaluation; see where to go with measure category. • Volunteers, please raise hands.

  11. Research and Evaluation Subcommittee Meeting • First meeting in beginning of April • Encourage broad participation from regional programs • Agenda to be sent out next week • Will include list of all OOC measures requiring research and prioritization of those measures

RTF Online Petition Form • Presented in October, 2012 • Nora Miller incorporated feedback • Add reference to latest RTF Guidelines • Add language to clarify what RTF does and doesn't do • Incorporate new BPA taxonomy for measure lookup • Separate out 'propose new' or 'modify existing' measures • More explanation over what 'Sponsor' means • Uploaded sample submission • Created feedback loop with follow-up email and expected timeframe to expect a response • Can be found online on main RTF webpage

  13. Green Motors Rewind Correction • Discovered one recommendation that was not incorporated in final workbook • Suggested bringing data on weighted average mix of motor efficiencies before RTF • Current method: Use NEMA Premium efficiency only • Proposed method: Use GMPG weightings of Pre-EPAct, EPAct and NEMA Premium efficiencies • Staff could present data from GMPG to RTF • Outcome appears to be small savings change for motors 500 HP and less
