Teacher Education was here before WWU existed! • Our graduates have excellent reputations with the school districts. • Amazing faculty who taught in the K-12 schools and are now professors. • Small class sizes. • All programs have extensive, in-depth, classroom based field experiences. • We have main campus and outreach programs.

  3. General Application Requirements • GPA requirement (minimum 2.75, MIT = 3.0) • Graded credit requirements • 45 Plus (ELED, SPED, ECE) • 60-80% major for SEC • West-B (take and pass before admission deadline) • English Composition (B- all programs except Secondary = B) • Meet program prerequisites (Math, Science, Linguistics) • Must complete and submit program application! • Must complete and submit application to WWU (2 separate applications)! • See program for additional information regarding application requirements

Courses to Consider MAIN CAMPUS PROGRAMS • Elementary & Early Childhood Interest: • If earning AA, should apply to program and WWU at same time • Complete course prerequisites • Special Education Interest: • If earning AA, should apply to program and WWU at same time • Math 381 prerequisite – Math 112 @ WWU (check with Math Dept.) • Complete course prerequisites • Secondary Interest: • Transfer to WWU • Begin Major/Degree coursework

Courses to Consider Advice • Review website • If earning AA, should apply to program and WWU at same time (all but Secondary) • Continue gaining youth and leadership type experiences • Strong GPA • Meet West-B requirement • Meet program course prerequisites • Contact us for specific advising and information (early and often is best)!
