Course Purpose • This course is the study of evaluation. • We will cover • Basic principles of evaluation • Utilization of research and evaluation in practical situations • Design and measurement • Theoretical • Philosophical • Jurisdictional • All framed within the context of: • (1) evaluation, (2) assessment, (3) measurement, (4) statistics • Main Goal of Research – Methods courses is to improve and expand reasoning and critical thinking skills.

  4. Course Assignments • Class Participation: 5% • Article Critiques: 15% each • Measurement Assignment: 15% • Reading Journal: 15% • Presentation & Handout: 15% • Course Questions: 20%
