USMP Activities • Selection Committee is performing the final interviews of the top families. • Expect final selection soon • Chirt has been laid for foundation • Grace still plans to inspect plumbing & form work before slab is poured. • Plan for slab installation in early September time frame • Storm Shelter (pending government grant)

  8. Key Dates • Mid June: Site visit to inspect plumbing before slab pour • 3-4 Aug: Identify any specific needs of the Family • 21 Sept (Tentative): Move stuff (large donated items) to USMP

  9. Key Construction Info • Off site staining/painting • Typically at the warehouse in Sylvania • Stain the cabinets • Paint the interior trim & doors • Wall Build Plan • Drawing package set for “crew team” building • Stud spacing specified on drawings to minimize the waste of interior paneling.

  11. Typical Day • Start around 8am. • Break mid morning for prayer • Lunch • Stay as long as there is daylight

What to Bring • Minimum • Great attitude • Pencil • Tape measure • Any protective gear (safety glasses, ear plugs, knee pads, gloves, etc) • Weather gear, if needed – it can be hot, cold or wet • chair • Other Stuff • Small hand tools (drills, screw drivers, hammer, tool apron, hand saw, drill bits, etc) • Miter saws during the first couple of days

  13. Travel & Sleeping Options • Stay at the Chapel (~13 miles) • Potentially other Church/mission space closer • Stay at a hotel in Scottsboro (~21 miles) • Stay at a hotel in Fort Payne (~10 miles) • Drive back home (~71 miles) • Stay at Super 8 in Rainsville (~1 mile)
