Organisation of the Hungarian ECDL • Accreditation Committee – the main decision maker body • representatives of ministries (see next slide) • representatives of main users (e.g. Telecom, Post, and the most relevant Test Centres) • Quality Assurance Committee – members are the most prestigeous experts, cca. 350 site visits/year • National ECDL Office – the operative government of the Hungarian ECDL Third Regional ECDL Conference, Belgrade, 9th October 2009.

Recognition of ECDL • Resolution 1035/1998. of the government • ECDL for Public Officials - accredited program • ECDL for teachers - accredited training since 2000 (Teacher Upgrading Program) From July 2009: Credit points for ECDL acquired anyhow/anywhere • ECDL in the schools – ECDL based final exam • ECDL in VET • ECDL as a National Accredited program (FAT) Third Regional ECDL Conference, Belgrade, 9th October 2009.

Hungarian initiatives for the sustainable increasing • International QA System (plus Hungarian representative in the Quality Assurance Committee) • Public Test Book (Syllabus 5.0 - official deviation) • Imagemaker • ECDL SELECT • New module for Blinds • Electronic Signature Third Regional ECDL Conference, Belgrade, 9th October 2009.

Public QTB Approved as an accepted deviation by ECDL-F Requirements: • to multiply the number of tests/module (the multiplication factor is cca. 8) • To ensure conformance with Syllabus and CTT Benefits: More satisfied consumers – major interest for ECDL Guaranteed Quality! Imagemaker module • About digital photos – fulfills a new requirement of the market (most of the people now have digital camera) • Photoshop and GIMP versions, • Cca. 25-30 hours course, 45 minutes test • Dozens of Test Centres, hundreds and more candidates • Optional module for ECDL Select • Hungary since April 2006: becoming more and more popular • The most enthusiastic are the students, but not only Third Regional ECDL Conference, Belgrade, 9th October 2009.

ECDL SELECT • 70% of the Test Centres joined • 50% of the Candidates choose SELECT The preferred modules to leave out of the 7 modules: IT Concepts + Database: both „ignored” by 92,9% IT Concepts ignored by 97,4% Database ignored by 95,5% Third Regional ECDL Conference, Belgrade, 9th October 2009.
