Concept Of Home Renovation Home improvement means the repairing, remodeling, altering, converting, or modernizing of, or adding to, residential property and shall include, but not be limited to the construction, erection, replacement, or improvement of driveways, swimming pools, including spas and hot tubs, terraces, patios, awnings, storm windows, landscaping, fences, porches, garages, fallout shelters, basements, and other improvements of the structures or land which is adjacent to a dwelling house. Comfort Upgrades This involves installing new or improved heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and upgrading bathrooms, music rooms and bedrooms with soundproofing. 4. Safety This involves fire system repairs or upgrades such as sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and other fire safety appliances, home safety upgrades such as burglar alarms, security doors and security windows and shelter installation or set-up for protection from earthquakes, tornadoes, and hurricanes.
