ATLANTIDE PROPOSAL AND AIMS

  • Atlantide proposalprovides:

METHODOLOGY

  • Each activity is designed to place participants in the middle of the experience, preferring a kind of laboratory didactic, which focused on "doing" and on “acting" aimed at learning through the emotional and sensory partecipation, exploration, discovery and play.
  • To leaddidacticactivities are madeavailablestudy and reserchinstruments, slides, microscopes, individual didactic forms for observation and data collection.
  • Thereis a strong focus on the principles of active learning, characterized by moments of practical work and direct experimentation, through which combine the need to acquire knowledge and then analyze it, interpret it and rebuild it.In this context of learning:
    • youexplore, you make assumptions, interpreting results: the "learning to learn"
    • knowledge and contents are revalued as indispensable elements to complete a
    • task
    • grows curiosity about the study and learning through awareness of “what you do
    • and why it is done”

  • For each of the four Salt Pans have been developed3 thematiclaboratories:
  • naturalistic- a laboratory dedicatedto discover landscape, wildlife and
  • vegetation aspects that characterize the Salt Pan environment
  • productive- a laboratory that highlights aspects connected to the history of
  • salt, to its production and to the traditions associated with this important
  • resource
  • artistic - a laboratory which aims at enhancing salt and Salt Pans, each
  • placed in its unique cultural, handcrafted, artistic context

WORKSHOPS

In rangeof the project willbeorganized 4 workshops / training sessionsaddressed to teachersofprimary and secondaryschools, organized at the 4 Salt Pans.

Although the 4 workshops are combined in relation to the specificreferential Salt Pan, theywillbecharacterizedby a common organizational set-up:

Duration: 16 hoursorganizedover 2 days, variable in 4 halfdays up to partecipantsdemand.

1st meeting (4 hours) Naturalistictheme: salt pan ecosystem, landscape, animaland plantsdistinctiveofanextemeenvironment.

2nd meeting (4 hours) Productivetheme: salt production techniques, salt pan

structure, water circulation and evaporiticcyclephases.

Analysis and considerationsaboutsalt production in ofsalt in

differentages and places.

3rd meeting (4 hours) Hystorictheme: historic, economyc and social knowledge

aboutimportanceofsalt in history. Visit to saltplaces.

4th meeting (4 hours) Wine and foodtheme: typicalproductsrelated to salt pan and

territory. Productivepeculiarities, dietaryvalues ​​and

gastronomicmemory.
