  2. What unemployment is? • The term unemployment refers to a situation when a person who is actively searching for employment is unable to find work. Unemployment is considered to be a key measure of the health of the economy. • An example is a worker who recently quit or was fired and is looking for a job in an economy that is not experiencing a recession

  3. Classification Of unemployment • There are 2 types of unemployment Voluntary unemployment Involuntary unemployment

  4. Voluntary unemployment • Voluntary unemployment happens when a worker decides to leave a job because it is no longer financially compelling. An example is a worker whose take-home pay is less than his or her cost of living.
