  2. Seaweed LabEvolution- Survival of the Fittest Adaptation: Seaweeds create gas bladders to help the seaweed to float to the surface.

  3. Seaweed LabEvolution- Survival of the Fittest Adaptation: Seaweed leaves use gas bladders because they must float on the surface to capture sunlight for photosynthesis.

  4. Seaweed LabEvolution- Survival of the Fittest Adaptation: The holdfast holds the seaweed in place to keep it from getting washed ashore or sent down to the bottom dark zone.

  5. Seaweed LabEvolution- Survival of the Fittest Adaptation:Giant kelp seaweed can grow at a rate of two feet a day. This is the fastest linear growth of any organism on Earth so if some seaweed gets eaten it can quickly grow more.
