Discover Ireland Marketing Campaign • New campaign will get underway in Spring. • Underpinned by a Year-Round Media Programme - TV, Radio, Print, Online - Showcasing Ireland as an exciting destination for outdoor pursuits and adventure breaks and holidays • Discover Ireland Magazine & new series of DI Inserts, Supplements and Brochures. • Campaign will target individual segments of the market: - Singles, couples, families, older people, those who want to learn a new skill or pursue a hobby when on holiday

Travel trade fam visits • 2008 – 815 tour operators and travel agents • 2009 – 1620 tour operators and travel agents expected by year end* • Principal markets of origin: US, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Nordics, UK, New & Developing Markets *This figure includes a once-off event in November 2009 for 750 Dertour agents, incl. 24 itineraries all over Ireland and a week of events in the SW

Travel trade fam visits • 55 group fam visits to Ireland in 2009 • 10 of these involved a ‘meet and greet’ opportunity for Irish product providers: workshop or networking event *This figure includes a once-off event in November 2009 for 750 Dertour agents, incl. 24 itineraries all over Ireland and a week of events in the SW

In-Ireland workshops In-Ireland workshops One-on-one appointments with tour operators/ travel agents Approx 10 expected in 2010: • Meitheal (250 buyers, matched appointments ) with product workshop for Outdoor & Adventure) • 8/9 small specific market workshops (ranging from min. 10 to max. 45 buyers)

  19. Overseas promotions • Key trade and consumer shows in various markets at which there is an Ireland stand with a set number of places for Irish industry partners to exhibit. Approx. 20 in 2010. • Workshops/ opportunities to meet the travel trade are organised by Tourism Ireland in some markets, e.g. USA, Canada and the UK.
