INTRODUCTION Adenotonsillectomy is an operation to remove both the adenoids and tonsils. The adenoids are removed for reasons which include impaired breathing through the nose, chronic infections, or recurrent earaches. It is the most commonly administered treatment for SDB in children. Adenoids are a patch of tissues that are high up in the throat and behind nose, tonsils are fleshy pads located at the each side of back of the throat.
