  6. A 35 Minute Drive Makes All the Difference… In 2007, 27% of 11th graders at Roosevelt in East L.A. scored proficient on the English CST. In the same year, 84% of 11th graders at Mira Costa High in Manhattan Beach scored proficient or higher on the English CST.

Los Angeles Magazine named it the most elite prep school in all of LA. 90% of students that took an AP class got a 3 or higher (i.e. they passed).
