Millimeter-wave Special Interest Group was organized within MMAC Forum on July 2004. • Multimedia Mobile Access Communication (MMAC) Forum investigates Japanese standard for wireless access systems, such as WLAN, WPAN, etc. • 21 organizations are attending mmw SIG. • mmw SIG will move to mmw WG which is an official working group within MMAC Forum next April, 2005. • The purpose of mmw WG is to make Japanese mmw WPAN standard (PHY & MAC). • mmw WG can propose ARIB (Association of Radio Industries and Buisinesses) mmw WPAN standard.
