Academic factors remain the most important consideration in making admissions decisions.

UW campuses review each applicant comprehensively to determine admission and likelihood of success at their campus.

UW-Eau ClaireandUW-Madisonrequire a minimum two years of a single foreign language for admission.

  • All UW System campuses require receipt of ACT or SAT scores prior to making an admit decision.
  • The ACT is preferred by most UW System campuses. All campuses will accept either ACT or SAT.
  • Recommend students take the ACT or SAT in the spring of their junior year.
  • Minimum score guidelines vary at each campus.

  • UW-Madison requires written portion of the ACT.
  • UW-Green Bay, UW-Madison & UW-LaCrosse require official score report directly from ACT for admit decision.
  • UW-Oshkosh & UW-Platteville require official score report prior to advising/registration.
