  3. How do I get in? • To attend the Hartt School you must audition • Tuition cost is 28,582

  4. How much does it cost? • Tuition is 28,582 • Undergrad is 20,218 • Room and Board cost 12,000 • 1,000 in Misc fees • Financial Aid is available to those who qualify • Scholarships are awarded based on auditions and interview

  5. What careers are possible after graduating? • There are many degrees available from The Hartt school so there are many career opportunities as well • The two most obvious options may be acting and directing

Professional Actor • Actors endure long periods of unemployment, intense competition for roles, and frequent rejections in auditions. • Annual wage data for actors was not available because of the wide range in the number of hours worked by actors and the short-term nature of their jobs • Most actors need to supplement their income with jobs outside this field

  7. Directing • Directors are responsible for the overall creative decisions of a production. • They interpret scripts, auditions and select cast members, conduct rehearsals, and direct the work of cast and crew. • A lot of directors also have to supplement their work with jobs outside this field

Summary Statement • I think The Hartt school is a great place to go if you are interested in a career with the arts • They offer courses in many categories • Although many of the careers in the arts are hard to succeed in, if you have the talent you can really go far with a degree from this school
