  1. Club’s Academy 2015 -Fixtures and Transport Tuesday 20th April 2015

  2. Fixtures • All fixture dates will be set by September. • Jill administers all the HOME fixtures for times, venues and any re-arrangements. • All BUCS results to be sent to Sports Union. • Booking of facilities for matches is done at Fixtures Meetings on a Monday. • BUCS Website to see fixtures.

  3. Fixtures • All future fixture dates must be checked in September. • Any issues with any of the dates must be reported to Jill as soon as possible. • In most cases, all BUCS Premier League and Tier 1 matches need to be played by mid March. • Matches in Tier 2 and below, in most cases, are to be played by the end of March.

  4. Home Matches • ALL teams must attend the Fixtures Meeting at 12 noon on Mondays in the Sports Centre each week to confirm their bookings for the current and following week. • Failure to attend may result in your allocated facility being given to another club.

  5. Home Matches – Bad Weather • In cases of bad weather, the team must contact the Sports Centre by 9am on the day of the match to check if their facility is affected. • If a match is postponed due to unplayable facilities, the team must contact Jill ASAP to organise the re-arrangement.

  6. Away Matches • It is the team’s responsibility to check when their away matches are, and to ensure that they are there on time, and have all equipment necessary with them.

  7. Results Results of ALL home and away matches must be text immediately after the fixture to: 07954 647013 Any issues with results up on the BUCS website should be reported to Jill in the first instance. DO NOT contact the opposition.

  8. Transport • Bookings for Self Drive and Coach Hire. • Requests for Train Travel (major events). • Car Registration for Own Car. • Payment for Public Transport.

  9. Transport – Bookings • Online requests for Self Drive, Coach Hire and Train Travel (major events). • Must be requested by deadline or no transport will be booked. • Monday at 12noon for Weekends. • Thursday at 12noon for Wednesdays. • Travel Request Form

  10. Transport - Self Drive • People Carriers up to 9 seats • Minibuses up to 14 seats. • Drivers must be registered with Sports Union each year. • Drivers must be 21 or older and have held a licence for minimum 2 years. • Only Club Members can drive or travel.

  11. Transport – Coach Hire • Up to 53 people can travel in one vehicle. • Teams can share transport if going to venues close to each other. • Only Club Members can travel on coaches.

  12. Train Travel (major events) • Booking trains for major events can be done through the same online Travel Request Form. • Railcards make travel cheaper for you and your club.

  13. Transport – Own Car • Drivers must register themselves and their car each year. They must be Sport Union Members. • Documents are required for the vehicle and the driver. • A Declaration Form for each trip is required to be completed. Only Club Members can travel in car. • Drivers can claim back 23p per mile for taking their own car, but only if they’ve declared their trip first. • If drivers have more than one passenger, they can claim 25p per mile.

  14. Transport – Public Transport • No declaration forms required. • Receipts must be kept to be able to claim back costs from club – within 60 days. • Only Club Members can claim. • Check online to find best transport for cost and time.
