  1. Tower Wood Activity Residential - located on the shore of Windermere Monday 16th - Wednesday 18th September 2019

The Centre • Tower Wood Outdoor Education Centre is set in 12 acres of lawns and woodland, from the Edwardian house down to the eastern shore of Windermere. • The site looks across the Lake to the high fells of the Lake District. • The centre has over 40 years’ experience of delivering safe, high quality, outdoor adventure experiences for all. Tower Wood can offer a wide range of land and water based activities. • Tower Wood has its own private jetties and lake access, together with a fully equipped boathouse.

  4. Overnight Accommodation • Windermere Lodge was completed in May 2014 features: • The main accommodation sleeps 59 spread over 3 floors. The outside doors are key pad locked during the day and night and only Tower Wood staff and our school can enter. • Rooms vary from sleeping 2-6 • All rooms are ensuite • Boys and girls are on separate floors -staff rooms are on the floors with the children's • Only our school will be in the house during the visit • Drying room and dining hall are all located in the house, which is secured at night

  5. Catering • Tower Wood are able to cater for many special dietary requirements. All food is prepared and cooked by the friendly team of catering staff. • a healthy and varied menu which normally includes a cooked breakfast with toast and cereals • a packed lunch, • a cooked evening meal and • home cooked biscuits at supper time. • Drinks are available as required.

  6. Kit List Many items of clothing are likely to get wet. It is often underestimated how many warm clothes are needed to ensure that the activities are enjoyed, whatever the weather. A detailed kit list will be issued closer to the trip but in general 2 complete change of clothes per day is best. • 3 pairs of shoes; 1 pair for indoors, e.g. slippers, 1 pair for outdoors, 1 old pair of trainers for water activities which will get wet and muddy • 4-5 complete changes of clothes plus extra layers • Night clothes • Toiletries; soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, shampoo etc. • 2 towels • Plastic bags for wet clothing • Lunch box, plastic drinks bottle (and a stainless steel flask)

Cost • Tower Wood residential stay including evening activities, coach travel to and from the centre: £180.00 • Minimum number required: 40 • Maximum number: All pupils in Years 5 and 6 • Deposit by Friday 10th May - £50 • Second Installment due by Monday 10th June- £50 • Third Installment due by 1st July -£50 • Final Intallment due by 19th July -£30
