  2. Annamalai University Distance Education • Annamalai University was recognized back in the year 1920s. From then till date the Annamalai University has added many merits besides its name. It started with only seven departments & currently runs around forty-nine departments. The university is recognized & accredited by University Grants Commission for Distance Education (UGC).
