  2. Pronto después de gran victoria (Mar Rojo), 3 días sin agua, luego agua amarga. Así es la vida. 1 Cor. 10:11, hay lección para mí. • Soon after a great victory (Red Sea), 3 days without water, then bitter water. That’s life. 1 Cor. 10:11, there’s a lesson for me.

  6. No seguir ejemplo de Israel. ¿Qué hicieron? ¿Oraron? ¿Buscaron ríos? ¿Cavaron pozos? No. Simplemente MURMURARON. • Don’t follow the example of Israel? What did they do? Did they pray? Look for rivers? Dig wells? No. Simply COMPLAINED.

  7. Murmurar contra Moisés=murmurar contra Dios. Núm. 14:27, “¿Hasta cuándo oiré esta depravada multitud que murmura contra mí?” To murmur against Moses=murmur against God. Num. 14:27, “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me?”

  8. Mostraron que no eran dignos de ser hombres libres. Toda prueba provocó más murmuración. Perecieron allí, Núm. 14:29. • Proved that they were not worthy to be free men. Every trial provoked more murmuring. They perished there, Num. 14:29.

  9. 1 Cor. 10:6,10, “ejemplos para nosotros ..Ni murmuréis, como ellos murmuraron, y perecieron”. Fil. 2:14, “sin murmuraciones” • 1 Cor. 10:6, 10, “examples for us .. Nor complain, as they complained, and were destroyed. Phil. 2:14, “without complaining”

  13. Rom. 10:6-8, “Cerca de ti está la palabra, en tu boca y en tu corazón”. ¿Salvador? Cristo ya murió. ¿Mediador? Está a la diestra de Dios, intercediendo por nosotros, Heb 7:25. • Rom. 10:6-8, “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” Savior? Christ already died. Mediator? He is at God’s right hand, interceding for us, Heb. 7:25.

  14. ¿Hay problemas amargos? La solución ya revelada, años atrás, 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; 2 Ped. 1:3. Escrituras endulzan aguas amargas. • Are there bitter problems? The solution was revealed, years ago. 2 Tim. 3:16,17; 2 Pet. 1:3. Scriptures sweeten bitter waters.

  15. Remedio=árbol; remedio=madero. 1 Ped. 2:24. Como Dios proveyó el árbol para Israel proveyó el madero (cruz) por los pecados. • Remedy=tree; remedy=tree. 1 Pet. 2:24. As God provided the tree (cross) for Israel, He provided the Sacrifice for sin.

  16. Gén. 22:13, Dios proveyó substituto, pero llegó el tiempo para dar a su único Hijo, y no hubo substituto. • Gen. 22:13, God provided a substitute, but the time came for Him to give His only Son, and there was no substitute.

  17. ¿Hay tribulación? Rom. 5:3, “la tribulación produce paciencia; 4 y la paciencia, prueba; y la prueba, esperanza; 5 y la esperanza no avergüenza”. • Is there tribulation? Rom. 5:3, “tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. hope does not disappoint.”

  20. ¿Hay pruebas? Sant. 1:2, “tened por sumo gozo cuando os halléis en diversas pruebas, 3 sabiendo que la prueba de vuestra fe produce paciencia”. • Are there trials? James 1:2, “count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”

  21. ¿Sufrimos por causa de la justicia? 1 Ped. 3:14, “si alguna cosa padecéis por causa de la justicia, bienaventurados sois”. • Do we suffer for the cause of righteous-ness? 1 Pet. 3:14, “if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed.”

  22. ¿Nos parece que la disciplina es amarga? Heb. 12:11, “ninguna disciplina al presente parece ser causa de gozo, sino de tristeza; pero después da fruto apacible de justicia a los que en ella han sido ejercitados”. • Does the discipline seem bitter? Heb. 12:11, “no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

  23. Sea lo que fuera el agua amarga, Cristo y su enseñanza la puede endulzar. Amor vence el odio, gozo vence tristeza, verdad vence el error y mentira, fe vence el mundo. • Whatever the bitter water may be, Christ and His teaching can sweeten it. Love conquers hate, joy overcomes sadness, truth conquers error and lies, faith overcomes the world.

  24. Dios permite pruebas para disciplinarnos, Heb. 12:6, “Porque el Señor al que ama, disciplina”. • God permits trials to discipline us, Heb. 12:6 “For whom the LORD loves He chastens.”

  25. Humillarnos bajo su mano como David. 2 Sam 16:5-11, Simei le maldecía.. Abisai: le quitaré la cabeza …Dejadle que maldiga, pues Jehová se lo ha dicho. • Humble ourselves under His hand like David 2 Sam 16:5-11. Simei cursed him.. Abisai: let me go over and take off his head .. let him curse; for so the LORD has ordered him.

  26. Israel no tenía fe. Se olvidaron del Mar Rojo. Llamaron este lugar “Mara” ¿para recordar qué? No la obra de Dios; sólo lo amargo. • Israel had no faith. Forgot Red Sea. Called this place “Marah” to remember what? Not the work of God; only the bitter.

  27. Por qué no “árbol bendito”, “oración con-testada”, “triunfo del Señor”, “fe victoriosa” Nada de eso. Sólo recordar el PROBLEMA. • Why not “blessed tree,” “prayer answered,” “triumph of the Lord,” “victorious faith.” None of that. Only remember the PROBLEM.

  28. Recordemos el “árbol” que Dios proveyó para ellos y el “madero” que proveyó para nosotros. Endulza toda “agua amarga”. • Let’s remember the “tree” that God provided for them and the “tree” that He provided for us. It sweetens all “bitter water.”
