  1. Tutorial Prerequisite for GEED 205

  2. Objective The objective of this tutorial is to determine if you are a candidate for GEED 205.

  3. Before you proceed There are some portfolios/courses that will not be admitted, such as COMS courses, GOVT 200, internship courses, capstone courses, as well as other courses not approved by academic departments. Please note that admission of a portfolio does not guarantee that credit will be awarded. As long as you do not plan on doing a portfolio on any of the above you may continue with the tutorial.

  4. Instructions • Read each slide carefully. • Follow the instructions at the bottom of each slide. • Stop the tutorial if you fail to meet the criteria in a slide. • Proceed to the end of the tutorial if you meet the criteria in each slide.

  5. Can you answer yes to at least one of the following statements? • I have a minimum of 3 yrs. training in my field • I have achieved an industry recognized credential • I have been supervised by a qualified expert in my field (CPA, LSW, LPC, M.Div., etc.) • I supervise, lead or manage a team/organization • I demonstrate professional excellence in my field • My work relates to a subject taught at Liberty • I have completed the Liberty Home Bible Institute Stop if you did not answer yes to at least one of the statements above. If you answered yes to one or more of the above statements, please proceed to the next slide

  6. I have experience in at least one of these areas… • Church ministry • Evangelism • Missions • Teaching • Administration • Human relations • Supervision/Management • Professional selling • Writing • Government • Therapeutic foster parenting • Helping profession • Professional tax preparation • Small group leadership • Security • Legal research • Inductive Bible study method • Apologetics Stop if you do not have experience in at least one of these areas or in a closely related field. If you have experience in at least one of these areas, please proceed.

  7. Are you… • a graduate or doctoral student? • pursuing a degree in nursing? • transferring in over 72 credits from prior colleges and military training? • finished taking all of your electives? • planning to transfer to another university? • graduating this semester? Stop if you answered yes to one or more of the questions above. Please proceed if you answered no to all of the questions above.

Congratulations on your successful completion of this tutorial! • The next step is to contact the portfolio coordinator at pla@liberty.edu • Include your student id# and a copy of your resume • In your email, please state that you have successfully completed the tutorial • We will reply to your email as soon as possible • NOTE: Life Experience credit is considered transfer credit and WILL NOT count toward the 30 hours you must complete at Liberty University.
