Multiple Assessment Measures • Start with the intended outcome assessment device • Test • Rubric • Count • Specify the criteria for success • Some measures should give you the ability to gauge your success with comparative peers • Some measures should be collected directly from the “customer” • Measure results should be available at the end of the year

Use of Data • Summarize the data you received • Did you reach the criteria you specified? • Where there ‘aha’ moments from the data collection • Where you blocked from receiving the data you needed and why. • Describe how you will use the data you have gathered • This becomes a way of using the data to continue the growth and success of your unit

  7. WHERE DO I FIT? Strategic Planning Checklist This afternoon Review in your units/departments the Strategic Plan for 2008-2009 that your department has created. Start thinking about how you will modify this plan for the next year by including the priorities where you fit. • Read through the Checklist • Determine which of the priorities fit in with your view of your unit • Which priorities address what you would like your unit to do
