  4. What is Future City? • It is a national program sponsored by the engineering community to promote technological literacy and engineering to middle school students • opportunity to participate in the National Engineers Week Future City Competition.

  5. Components & Scoring 90 points --Virtual City Design 75 points--Research Essay “Rethink Runoff” 25 points--City Narrative 120 points--The Model 90 points--Team Presentation TOTAL 400 points

  10. Homework Policy • No late Homework will be accepted. (I have 215 students.) unless student was absent (excused) • No Homework accepted via email/ jumpdrive . • If you have computer issues the Media Center is open before and after school

  11. Laptop policy • Students will be using School Laptops From Mid-September to November to design the virtual city. • Nov-Jan. Research Essay Topic & Work on PPT presentation & Narrative
