That first commission was created in a parking lot across the street from McCormick’s house: he was armed with a blowtorch and some hand tools. “My mentor at the time asked me, ‘How many more lights will it take to convince you this is what you have to be doing?’” he says. Since then, this year’s Industrial Designer of the Year has been creating work that judge Paolo Cravedi describes as “fascinating and poetic, fresh and compelling.” McCormick quickly outgrew his parking-lot workspace and moved to an East Vancouver studio as one light led to another, and another, and another.<br><br> Visit Us : http://www.matthewmccormick.ca/

  2. HALO Originally conceived as a graphically interpretation of effervescence, Halo is series of bold lamps inspired by the soft warm glow their illuminaire. This modular system allow the pendants to be suspended in a multitude of compositions as a range of elegant hanging art pieces.

DINNER X DESIGN Dinner By Design is a series unique dinner experiences and craft cocktail parties highlighting well-known interior designers, architects, decorators and members of the design community. Guests will experience fabulous creative concepts of celebrities and designers, dine on exquisite gourmet meals, and access superb design and brand ideas.
