  2. Introduction • Weather Sentinel – Version 1.0 • Visualize real-time, historical, and predicted weather data using STK and STK / Connect • Analyze weather data as it impacts: • Facilities • Ground Vehicles • Aircraft • Missiles • Satellites

Functionality • Uses STK/Connect • COM-enabled • Imports 2 types of weather data formats: • WSR-88D Level I • GRIB (GRIdded Binary data) • Handles 2 types of weather data: • Scalar data (e.g., temperature) • Vector data (e.g., wind velocity) • Visualization & Analyses • User-defined color scales and gradients

Reports • Reporting features can be applied to vehicle paths and facilities, combining vehicle/facility properties with actual weather calculations. • Data can be reported: • in actual inches of precipitation or visibility in meters • at each point along the vehicle path OR at the facility site over time • Users can manipulate data using the following STK tools: • report tool • graph tool • dynamic display tool • strip chart
