HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 2) Memory Verse: 1 John 3:3 “3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” BIBLE PASSAGE:1 Corinthians 6:15-20 INTRODUCTION: Sin makes a vessel impure. God cleanses a willing vessel with His word and an unwilling vessel with His fire. The result is the same but the latter is painful while the former is peaceful. The choice is yours - 1 Peter 1:2-7, Acts 9:15-16.
HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 2) Outlines: YOUR PURITY CANNOT BE COMPROMISED YOU CAN STAY PURE
HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 2) • Outline 1: • YOUR PURITY CANNOT BE COMPROMISED. • The one who wants to use and honour you is holy. He does not go for anything less than the best. He can change a defiled vessel and get another at will. His chosen vessels team up with other saints and with Jesus Christ. No impure person will be allowed into the team to avoid contaminating others. This is why He often discards parties that are defiled willingly.– 1 Corinthians 3:9, 1 Corinthians 16-17, Daniel 5:2, Ephesians 2:13, Ephesians 2:18, Ephesians 2:22, Hebrew 3:12-14, 2 Corinthians 4:6-7, Romans 7:21-24.
HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 2) • Outline 2: • YOU CAN STAY PURE. • To remain pure and clean, God expects us to do some things to help us remain clean and useable by Him. The following are precautions to keep us from defilement: • Study the word, memorise and do it • Love not the word • Be careful of your old friends • Be aware of pride, rebellion, envy, strife, railings, disputing, ungodliness, uncontrollable desire for wealth – Psalm 119:9-10, Isaiah 52:11, Jeremiah 15:19, 1 Timothy 6:3-11.
HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 2) • CONCLUSION • Watch and pray. If you are clean, do not stain your garments. If you are fallen, get up, get back to the Lord, repent and get out of areas of temptation - 1 Corinthians 10:12, 1 Corinthians 6:18, Malachi 3:3.
