Element 1: Discipline specific knowledge and skills • I take with me Intellectual development, depth and breadth of knowledge, scholarly understanding and subject specific content in the Key Learning Area’s of Mathematics, English, Science, HSIE, PDHPE & Creative Arts. I demonstrate professional technical competence and meet professional standards.

  3. Element 2: Critical, Analytical and Integrative Thinking • I am capable of reasoning, questioning and analyzing, and of integrating and synthesizing learning and knowledge from a range of sources such as The NSW Curriculum K-6, learning objects and web resources for lesson activities which I critique for effectiveness . I think independently.

  4. Element 3: Problem Solving and Research Capability • I am capable of researching, analyzing and interpreting and accessing data and information in various forms such as picture books, marking rubrics, journal articles and texts. I can draw connections across fields of knowledge and diagnose and solve problems.

  5. Element 4: Creativity and Innovation • I am capable of creative thinking and of creating knowledge, I am imaginative and open to experience at work and in the community.

  6. Element 5: Effective Communication • I have developed the ability to communicate and convey my views in forums effectively and with different audiences. I am capable of reading, listening, questioning, gathering and evaluating information resources face to face and online.

  7. Element 6: Engaged, Ethical Local and Global citizens • I am a graduate who is aware of indigenous perspectives and of national historical contexts. Aware of the challenges of contemporary society, I have a respect for diversity, am open minded, sensitive to others and open to other cultures and perspectives. I am helping to participate in creating a wiser society by helping to shape the minds of future generations.

  8. Element 7: Socially, Environmentally Active & Responsible • I am socially and environmentally aware and have respect for self and others. I work with others as a leader and a team player; I am informed and active in moving society towards sustainability.

  9. Element 8: Capable of Professional and Personal Judgment and Initiative • I have emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills and demonstrate common sense in both my personal and professional judgment. I have initiative am capable of assessing risk and handle ambiguity and complexity with logic, reasoning and maturity. As my practicum reports show, I am flexible towards adapting in changing environments.

  10. Element 9: Commitment to continuous learning • I am a graduate who is committed to continuous lifelong learning. I have an enquiring mind and a natural curiosity which leads me to pursue knowledge. I will continue to pursue learning in my career and participate in this world. I am capable of reflecting on my own experiences and relationships with others and the environment, learning from them and growing personally, professionally and socially.
