  1. Fun Things to Do in Alabama

  2. Introduction • Montgomery is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Alabama which lies on the east bank of the Alabama River. There are a number of fun things to do in Montgomery Alabama for the family. Among all, some of them are explained below:

  3. Images

  4. Montgomery Zoo • With over 500 animals from five different major regions, all housed in natural as well as barrier-free habitats this zoo is very kid friendly. The exhibits have knee high windows for the little ones to view the animal along with several viewing angles around each habitat.

  5. Old Alabama Town • Within walking distance of downtown, Montgomery is Old Alabama Town. It is an authentic nineteenth-century town with homes and buildings that have been carefully restored and are open to the public. You will learn at Old Alabama Town, how early Americans of all backgrounds resided and worked in Central Alabama.

  6. Montgomery Riverfront • It is also situated in downtown. Near The Alley, the riverwalk is situated at the historic Union Station Train Shed. Riverboat rides, concerts, events, baseball in Riverwalk Stadium and having access to the river through a boat ramp make this park a fun and interesting place for people of all ages.

  7. Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts • This museum features a hands-on kid’s area known as Art Works with more than 40 interactive exhibits. The grounds surrounding the museum offer trails and paths to allow visitors the independence to explore the outdoor sculptures. The grounds have a great picnic area and a bark park. Bring a lunch and the dog.
