  1. Displaying Products Effectively In Your Store – Mathaji Hardware Your brand, your products, and your store are all extensions of you; so when you design your store, you want people to identify with you, and feel that they are parallel to what you think and believe in. And, in the process of designing your store, retail displays are of utmost importance to drive the attention of passer-bys as well as walk-ins, thus taking the step towards sales higher. After all, a lot of our thoughts depend on how we see things. In fact, as per research, more than 80% of the information we process depends upon our sense of sight! Hence, to grab that 80% of the attention of every customer, it is important that you display your products right. Here are a few tips on helping you design winning retail displays.

  2. Create an immersive display Plan upon an overall environment or setting you want to create. What we want you to do is create a complete theme. For example, if it is Christmas, you want to put up all the red, green, and white coloured products on your racks. Even if you have just a few simple racks and hangers to put up your products, you can make it a completely immersive experience by focusing on the other elements of your store. For example, along with the Christmas coloured products, you can also put up Christmas trees, Santa cut- outs, reindeer cut-outs, and put up a foggy or snowy feeling within the store for the absolute ambiance. Invest in portable displays It is always wise to have portable displays. This way you can keep changing the setting of your displays now and then. You could do so every week or every month, or use it to make creative displays during special festivals. This way your regular customers will always have a new setup to see when they walk into your store. This will make it interesting for them to buy from you more often, looking forward to what your next setup will be. Let your customers connect with your products in every way With the internet being such a powerful source, so many people are shopping for stuff online. So, why are those that are coming in- store for shopping, doing so? It’s majorly probably so that they can get the right feel of what the products are about. They want to see the product in real, feel it, and experience it. You must thus create displays in a way that enables people to touch and feel your products. Don’t put them behind bars or glass doors. Let your products have the chance to connect with your customers.

  3. Focus on cross-merchandising People generally have in mind all the stuff that they want to buy. But, you can increase their basket sizes by doing just a bit. For example, a person may have come into your store to buy a few tops. What you can do is hang up all the amazing tops in hangers under a tabletop. And, just above the table, you can place an entire row of all sorts of coloured jeans rolled up nicely to take up the least bit of space, but grab attention. And then, at the center of the table, you can arrange for some complementing purses or accessories. At least a few of those coming to buy tops from you, will end up buying a pair of jeans, a purse, or some accessories from you too! Consider upcycling Every store, no matter what they sell, always have merchandise left out from a particular season. You can use all those left out products to build something new and creative in a way that the products seem tempting to buy. This will help you sell off at least a part of your old stock, if not all. For example, you can create a family vacation story right at the front or center of your store by putting up mannequins of a man, a woman, a girl, and a boy. Put up some old but nice garments on them, wearing caps, mufflers, sunglasses, and all sorts of accessories. And, arrange for a few travelling bags and purses scattered around them. This kind of set up will definitely grab attention; and you never know, the way your stuff has been placed, may strike off a deal for selling off some or all of the products! Another trick is to hang up life-size pictures of the faces of the most favourite actors, actresses, and cricketers; and hang your old merchandise below them to make-believe that those personalities are actually wearing all of that. This is a trick that will certainly grab attention to all those merchandises that weren’t gaining enough notice back when they were newly put up on your racks.

  4. How do you find these ideas? Use one or more of them from time to time, and you’ll definitely see a spike in your sales. With the retail sector becoming more and more competitive, there’s no room for simple plain displays. You need to get creative and come up with more inventive demonstrations. No matter what idea you choose; no matter if you already have a store, or are looking to put up a new one, you’ll always need the best kinds of shelves, racks, cupboards, and all sorts of furniture. You’ll also need a coat of fresh paint to come up with a new look.
