  1. Master of Bioethics When it comes to making decisions pertinent to bioethical issues in the medical industry, the situations often revolve around topics such as patient and doctor relationships, scarce medical resource allocation, human subjects treatment in different biomedical experiments, the conduct of research in the fields of life and medical sciences, and the difficult questions revolving around the start and end of human life. When you are a master of bioethics, you will serve as an adviser to hospitals and other such institutions operating in the health care industry. In addition, you also get to serve as an adviser to state and federal legislatures by writing the laws associated with genetic testing use, end life support decisions, suicides assisted by physician, and more. The subject has also become a part of the commercial field of science, and as a master of bioethics, you will get opportunities to serve in the science community as well. While bioethics basically emerged from the field of philosophy, in the present scenario it requires integration of numerous different fields of study, including medicine, law, environmental toxicology, genetics, biology, biotechnology,

  2. pharmaceuticals, public health, stem cell research, business, sociology, and politics. With many medical technologies emerging constantly, bioethical dilemmas have now become completely commonplace, and therefore require the expertise, knowledge and perspective of a person who is a master of bioethics. Bioethical decision making revolves around different paradigms, including short-term, long-term, individual, community, mercy, and justice. As a bioethicist, you will be using strategies that fall into categories such as care- based reasoning, rule-based reasoning, and ends-based reasoning.
