Urban Development - JNNURM • Upto 2011-12, 28 projects have been completed & 105 projects are more than halfway through • Remaining projects are at various stages of implementation & would be completed during the 2 year extension period granted to JNNURM • Going by the experience of JNNURM, there is need to have a similar mission during the XII FYP 46

Development of Mumbai • Development of Mumbai as an IFC should be a specific goal under the XII FYP, considering its importance in the context of national economy • Projects like • Mumbai Coastal Road (Rs. 6,000 crore) • MTHL (Rs. 10,000 crore) • Vasai-Alibag Multi Modal Corridor (Rs. 10,000 crore) • Navi Mumbai Airport (Rs. 14,000 crore) • Dhamang-Pinjal River Linking Project (Rs. 6,000 crore) should be treated as National Projects & should receive separate targeted support – both financial & policy level, from GoI 47
