This update outlines recent activities in the BTAP project, including the anticipated MIPAV release expected to facilitate pipeline operations on a cluster. Despite some installation issues and late release, efforts continue to acquire more data and template modalities, specifically targeting healthy patients and their T1, T2, and FLAIR scans. Notable issues with MIPAV scripts raised concerns over inconsistencies in nonlinear noise reduction techniques, leading to the discovery of a crucial algorithm parameter. Webpage enhancements include updates on team members and projects, alongside corrected terminology and typos.

What’s Next? • Push data through pipeline • Hoping Mipav release on Friday will allow pipeline to run on a cluster New MIPAV runs without display! (Although MIPAV release was late and there were some installation problems) • Get more data • Get more template modalities (maybe find healthy patient with T1, T2 and FLAIR?)
Weirdness with MIPAV Scripts • Same script (nonlinear noise reduction) run twice but called two different things (2d and 3d NR) • Turns out MIPAV algorithm has a parameter that can be set to specify 2d or 3d (wasn’t being used)
Webpage Updates • Updated People (still need some pics and a few details) • Updated Projects (Database project added) • “tumor” → “tumour” • BTGP → BTAP • Fixed a bunch of typos • Did not replace old page yet, but at www.cs.ualberta.ca/~btgp/Revised/
