Upward Flammability of Materials in GOX(Promoted Combustion)Test 17 from NASA-STD-6001 • Typical Specimen • 0.35 cm diameter rod • Minimum of 30 cm in length • Ignition Source • Aluminum or magnesium promoter to release > 3.0 kJ • Test Conditions • Worst-case pressure, temp, and oxygen concentration • Acceptance Criteria • Considered flammable at tested pressure if one sample burns more than 15 cm. • At least 5 samples must be tested.
