If you get an error message with send mail like “Message couldn’t open from outbox folder” etc. if you are facing the Outlook Express email problem & want to fix it, follow the instructions given below.   2. Identify and Fix Problems through Sending Mail in Outlook Express: To send mails again you need to check out the problem & its solution Check the setting of Outgoing Mail Server: 1. Open the menu and locate the Tools > Accounts. 2. Select the desired account and tap to Properties. 3. Ensure that the correct server name is entered under Outgoing mail (SMTP):on the Servers tab. 4. Verify the My server requires authentication if required. Go to the setting and specify a username & password different from incoming mails. 5. Under outgoing email check This server requires a secure connection (SSL). 6. Again check the port under Outgoing mail (SMTP):, too. Typical ports include 25and 465.

  3. Make Sure the "Sent Items" Folder is small or medium: The folder of Outlook express mail can handle only 2 GB, therefore check the size and store folder of Outlook express. Check the file size of Sent Items.dbx. Now you need to move the sent items folder from Outlook Express to other. Make specific folders for separate things. Find Corrupt "Outbox.dbx" File? Rename it: 1. Open the Outlook Express store folder and rename the Outbox.dbx file to Outlook.old. 2. Open this folder and check for the delivery issue of your email. If the problem has solved you can delete the Outbox.old file.
