  1. Anthem Eloy Longoria English -2nd Semester Mrs.Wiley

  2. Mood pg(98) I read many books for many days. Then I called the Golden One, and I told her what I had read and what I had learned. She looked at me and the first words she spoke were: “I love you” • This is mood because when Prometheus should the Golden One the word she knew how to say or get out the filling she had for him. So this is more than the mood romantic is like a celebration mood to Gaea for expressing her feelings to Prometheus.

  3. Theme pg(71) “We give you the sky!” we cried. “We give you the key to the earth! Take it, and let us be one of you, the humblest among you. Let us all work together, and harness this power, and make it ease the toil of men. Let us flood our cities with light. Let us bring a new light to men!” • This shows to never give up, to work the impossible and make it possible and show it to the world. To keep on trying, and to get a good education so we could have a better life.

  4. Tone pg(71) But they looked upon us, and suddenly we were afraid. For their eyes were still, and small, and evil. “ Our brothers!” we cried. “ Have you nothing to say to us?” Then Collective 0-0009 moved forward. They moved to the table and the others followed. “ Yes,” spoke Collective 0-0009, “ we have much to say to you.” The sound of their voice brought silence to the hall and to the beat of our heart. • This shows how Collective raced his voice and scared Equality, also how the tone of Collective was really serious.

  5. Suspense pg(75) “You fools!” we cried. “You fools! You thrice-damned fools!” We swung our fist through the windowpane, and we leapt out in a ringing rain of glass. • This part leaves you hanging, like what would happen next, were would he go, what would he do………

  6. Imagery pg(50) There was a thin thread of blood running from the corner of their mouth, but the lips were smiling. • This is Imagery because his looking at it and sees everything that is happening to him and how the blood is spreading through his mouth.

  7. Metaphor-Similie pg(50) They had hair of gold and eyes of blue as morning. • It’s comparing two unlike things like the hair to gold and the eyes to blue mornings.

  8. First person point of view pg(94) I am. I think. I will. • This is first person point of view because the author is now writing the story with “I” and not with “We”.

  9. Situational Irony pg(74) Then Collective 0-0009 rose and pointed at our box. “This thing,” they said. “ must be destroyed.” • I didn’t expected for Collective to say that, I thought he was going to like Equality's offer, or he would like it and let him join them.

  10. Foil pg(74) And all the others cried as one: “It must be destroyed.” Then we leapt to the table. • Foil is “We”
