  5. ESRI Shapefile • Simple. • non-topological format for storing the geometric location and attribute information of geographic features. • The shapefile as five files with specific file extensions that should be stored in the same project workspace.

  6. Simple GUI • Import shape file format (.shp) • Zoom-in and Zoom-out • Panning • Re-Center the map
