  3. What is power thinking? • A way to organize new information that breaks up content in topics, details, and sub details. It helps us to break up main ideas and details. It is easy and an effective strategy! It starts with the number 1. 1. Power One-TOPIC Then you add a detail(s) • Animals 2. Power Two-Detail or support for a POWER ONE Then you add sub detail(s) • Animals 2. Dogs 3. Power Three-Detail or support for a POWER TWO (?) And so on….. Soooo, essentially it is like a waaaay better version of an outline that can be used for reading, writing, and studying Let’s do an example together. It doesn’t need

Picture Notes! • Creating an image can be a visual summary and can be helpful to comprehend new content as a reflection activity • In your groups you will be given paper and markers • You must determine the important ideas of the content (use power notes) • You must come up with a way of representing the information through pictures, diagrams, and words • The quality of the artwork in not important, the thinking process involved is!  • No two products will be the same! • You will share your visual summary!
